Jo Uezato added another chapter to Japanese bodybuilding history over the weekend after winning the DC Pro and strengthening his push towards a return to the Olympia stage.

The victory maintains Jo remarkable record outside of the Olympia. Since turning professional, he has competed in three pro shows and won all three, giving him a perfect 100% winning record in professional competition outside of bodybuilding’s biggest event.

The win also marks the second consecutive weekend that a Japanese athlete has claimed victory on American soil, highlighting the growing strength of Japan’s presence within the IFBB Pro League.

Brazil’s Diogo Basaglia finished in second place after another strong performance. Japan’s Junpei Taguchi secured third place, continuing his own impressive run after defeating Basaglia just one week earlier. Daniel Adesina finished fourth, while Zach Savoie rounded out the top five.

DC Pro Results

For Jo, the victory keeps his momentum moving in the right direction as he continues to establish himself as one of the most dangerous competitors in the division whenever he steps on stage.

While his professional résumé remains relatively small compared to many veterans, his results speak for themselves. Three pro shows. Three victories.

The latest win also moves him one step closer to bodybuilding’s biggest stage.

Jo now needs just one more victory to secure qualification for the Olympia and make his return to the sport’s premier event. Based on the form he has displayed throughout the season, few athletes will be eager to stand beside him in upcoming lineups.

Japan’s momentum in the professional ranks continues to build, and once again, Jo Uezato finds himself at the center of it.
