Behrouz Tabani's 2026 competition season is hanging in the balance again.

The Iranian Open bodybuilding star has once again found himself caught in ongoing visa complications, leaving his international competition sc hedule in serious doubt despite months of intense preparation. After already missing contests in Spain and Italy, Tabani's appearance at the upcoming Portugal event is becoming increasingly unlikely.

Coach Milos Sarcev has confirmed that Behrouz's travel documents are still awaiting approval, extending a frustrating pattern that has repeatedly disrupted the bodybuilder's career. While his rivals have been battling it out on stage, Behrouzhas been left fighting a very different opponent: bureaucracy and unfortunately, you can't out-pose paperwork.

The setbacks could have even bigger consequences as the season progresses. Current U.S. visa processing timelines generally require applications to be approved at least 90 days before travel. With the 2026 Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas now inside that window, time is rapidly running out. Even if Behrouz secures an Olympia qualification in the coming weeks, gaining entry to the United States in time for bodybuilding's biggest event appears increasingly difficult.

Despite the uncertainty, Behrouz hasn't eased off the gas. Renowned for his relentless work ethic, he continues to train as though every show is still on the calendar. While the administrative hurdles continue to cast a shadow over his season, his dedication hasn't wavered.

For now, fans and fellow competitors can only hope the visa situation is resolved before the curtain rises. After all, the bodybuilding world would much rather see Behrouz battling on stage than battling another stack of paperwork.
