Nick Walker is entering a new chapter in his bodybuilding career, and he’s doing it with Prabh Dhaliwal in his corner.
After handling his own preparation for the Arnold Classic, Walker revealed that his decision to bring on a coach wasn’t based on hype or reputation. Instead, it came down to trust, communication, and an attention to detail that immediately stood out.
According to Walker, he had been sending progress photos to Dhaliwal throughout his Arnold Classic prep, despite running the preparation himself. What caught his attention was Dhaliwal’s ability to accurately assess his physique and understand exactly what he was thinking about the adjustments that needed to be made.
Walker explained that time after time, Dhaliwal’s feedback lined up with his own thoughts. The two would discuss potential changes, and more often than not, they were already on the same page.
That level of understanding played a major role in Walker’s decision.
One of the biggest factors was Dhaliwal’s eye for detail. Walker admitted it was something he simply couldn’t ignore. In a sport where the smallest adjustments can determine the outcome on stage, having someone who can identify subtle changes and make the right calls carries enormous value.
For Walker, the relationship quickly evolved beyond occasional conversations about physique updates. It became clear that there was a level of trust and shared vision that made the partnership feel natural.
Now, as he moves forward, Walker is embracing a different mindset.
Rather than trying to manage every aspect of his own prep, he wants to remove himself from the decision-making process and focus solely on execution. Walker said he wants to go into “full robot mode” showing up every day, following instructions, and allowing someone he trusts to take the reins.
For one of bodybuilding’s most accomplished competitors, the move isn’t about giving up control. It’s about putting that control in the hands of someone he believes can help bring out his best.
With Prabh Dhaliwal now leading the process, Walker’s focus becomes simple: train hard, follow the plan, and let the details be handled by a coach whose vision aligns with his own.
