Behrouz Tabani’s participation in this upcoming weekend’s Empro Classic remains uncertain as the Iranian standout continues to face significant travel documentation hurdles. Despite the proximity of the event, Behrouz and his team confirmed they are still awaiting visa approval. With the professional athletes' meeting scheduled for Friday and the main competition set for Sunday, the window for a successful arrival in Spain is rapidly closing.
This development marks a recurring obstacle for Behrouz, who has frequently encountered visa complications when attempting to compete in international qualifying events. The situation has forced his team to evaluate a secondary strategy to ensure he can secure a spot on the Mr. Olympia stage later this year. If the Spanish visa is not granted in time, the athlete has shifted focus toward a 'Plan B' involving an Italian visa, which would allow him to compete in Italy the following week.
The logistical shift became necessary following changes to the IFBB Pro League calendar. The Dubai Pro, originally slated for June, was moved to a date following the Olympia. This change left European contests as the primary path for Behrouz to earn his qualification. While the athlete is physically prepared for the demands of the Open division, his ability to showcase his physique depends entirely on the resolution of these administrative delays.
Behrouz’s team remains optimistic that a solution will materialize, allowing him to compete in either Spain or Italy. As one of the top contenders in the Open category, his presence significantly impacts the competitive landscape of the European circuit. For now, the focus remains on the looming deadline in Spain while simultaneously preparing for the backup opportunity in Italy.
